From Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, Gundam Zephyranthes is the Earth Federation’s GP01 prototype, developed as part of the Gundam Development Project. Designed as a general-purpose testbed unit, the GP01 embodies classic Gundam design principles with a focus on versatility, mobility, and system evaluation during the post–One Year War era.
The HGUC RX-78GP01 translates this prototype mobile suit into 1/144 scale with a build approach centered on proportion accuracy and clean mechanical presentation. The kit features a reliable joint system that supports natural standing poses and controlled action stances, maintaining balance throughout the torso and limbs. Armor parts are molded with clear separation, preserving the sharp lines and restrained detailing that define the Zephyranthes’ traditional Gundam look.
What builders tend to appreciate most is how the GP01’s simplicity and balance come through in the finished model. The classic Federation color layout, combined with solid articulation and a cohesive silhouette, makes it an ideal centerpiece for Universal Century collections. With a smooth build flow and unmistakable Stardust Memory identity, the HGUC RX-78GP01 offers a satisfying High Grade experience rooted in Gundam prototype history.
