AQUEOUS HOBBY COLOR is an acrylic paint range by Mr. Hobby (GUNZE), highly regarded for its ease of use, reliability, and consistent performance. These water-based acrylic paints are practical and versatile, suitable for both beginners and advanced modelers.
Although water-soluble, the use of Mr. Hobby Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner (GSI-T110 or GSI-T111) or MR. TOOL CLEANER is recommended for optimal results. The dedicated thinner improves paint leveling, allowing for smooth and uniform finishes. This paint range is also fully compatible with decals, ensuring clean and flawless decal application without damaging the paint surface.
Application:
Brush:
Ready for direct use without thinning. If the paint has slightly dried or feels too thick, it can be thinned in the same way as for airbrush use.
Airbrush:
Recommended thinning ratio is 10–15% using GSI-T110 or GSI-T111 thinner. Water can be used, but Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner is strongly recommended to improve adhesion and finish quality.
